Seattle author Peter Mountford revisits his early career as a policy analyst intern with a think tank, which ultimately led to his experience living in South America and a career writing finance-driven novels. He discusses his latest novel, The Dismal Science, a New York Times editor`s pick and described by The Seattle Times as “a dark brew of angst and economics.” Mountford`s debut novel, A Young Man`s Guide to Late Capitalism, won the 2012 Washington State Book Award in Fiction. A writer-in-residence at Seattle`s Hugo House, Mountford talks about his approach to helping writers improve their craft.
